Seiji named Outstanding Employee Finalist

Some careers are carefully mapped out. Others are built by saying yes to the next opportunity, learning as you go and becoming someone people know they can count on.

For Seiji Goto, more than nine years at Dubbo City Toyota has brought plenty of those opportunities.

And now, his contribution has been recognised beyond our dealership, with Seiji Goto named a finalist in the Outstanding Employee category at the 2026 Dubbo RSL Club Dubbo Business Chamber Rhino Awards.

It’s a recognition we’re incredibly proud to celebrate.

From the Workshop Counter to Assistant Parts Manager

Seiji Goto’s story at Dubbo City Toyota started at the Workshop Counter. Over the years, he’s continued to learn, take on new challenges and grow within the business, progressing to his current role as Assistant Parts Manager.

But titles only tell part of the story.

Ask the people who work with Seiji and they’ll tell you about the person behind them: calm under pressure, generous with his knowledge and always willing to jump in when someone needs a hand. Whether he’s helping a customer solve a tricky parts enquiry, mentoring a teammate, supporting our Gilgandra dealership or stepping into another area when things get busy, he brings the same team-first attitude.

That’s also why so many trade and retail customers ask for Seiji by name. Over the years, he’s built relationships based on something pretty simple: customers know they can trust him to listen, be honest and work hard to find the right solution.

Always looking for the next challenge

A lifelong automotive enthusiast, Seiji has turned that genuine love of cars into a career that continues to evolve. He has contributed to Toyota training videos, taken part in Kaizen and continuous improvement projects, and challenged himself through Toyota’s National Skills Learning & Development Program.

In fact, 2026 marked his third consecutive appearance as a Parts Sales Regional Finalist, giving him the opportunity to represent Dubbo alongside some of Toyota’s leading professionals from across Australia.

It’s a pretty great example of just how far a regional career can take you.

Building a career without leaving home

Seiji’s story also speaks to something we believe strongly at Dubbo City Toyota: you shouldn’t have to leave regional NSW to find great career opportunities.

You can develop specialist skills. You can step into leadership. You can challenge yourself against some of the best people in your profession nationally. And you can do it while building your life and career right here in the region.

That’s what MAKE IT YOURS is all about.

More opportunities. More possibilities. Right here.

There isn’t one pathway to a great career, and there isn’t one definition of success. For Seiji, it’s been more than nine years of learning, growing, taking opportunities and becoming a trusted part of our team and our customers’ experience.

Being named a Rhino Awards finalist is a special moment in that story, but it’s not the end of it.

Congratulations, Seiji. We’re incredibly proud to have you on our team, and we can’t wait to see where you take your career next.
