On Friday, they traded the familiarity of Dubbo for Sydney, representing Dubbo City Toyota at Toyota Australia's National Skills Learning & Development Program Regional Finals. For our dealership, it was a proud moment. Not because of a trophy or a title but because of what the journey represents.
There is a long-held perception that the biggest career opportunities exist in major cities, and that ambitious professionals need to leave regional Australia to reach their potential. At Dubbo City Toyota, we've seen a different story unfold. Every day, talented people are building meaningful careers right here in Dubbo. They're developing specialist skills, stepping into leadership roles and proving that regional businesses can create opportunities that stand alongside the very best in the country.
This year's National Skills finalists are a reflection of that belief.
Seiji Goto
Represented Dubbo City Toyota in Parts Sales, marking his third consecutive Regional Finals appearance. Seiji was also recently nominated in the 2026 Dubbo Rhino Awards Outstanding Employee category, recognising the professionalism, expertise and care he consistently brings to his role.
Skye Peters
Competed in Finance & Insurance, continuing a career that has already earned national recognition, including being named Toyota Finance Australia Business Manager of the Year 2025.
Matt Cross
Returned to the Regional Finals in Used Vehicles (Toyota Certified Pre-Owned) for the second consecutive year. Earlier this year, Matt was also recognised with our Tommy Toyota Award, reflecting not only his achievements, but the way he supports both customers and teammates.
Together, they continue a strong finalist presence for Dubbo City Toyota over recent years. That consistency is no accident.

Established by Toyota Motor Corporation Australia in 1984, the program is built around the philosophy of kaizen, or continuous improvement. It provides dealership professionals with opportunities to strengthen their knowledge, develop their expertise and benchmark themselves against some of the best in the country.
For General Sales Manager Justin Sultana, who travelled to Sydney alongside the team, the experience reflected the strength of both the individuals involved and the culture supporting them.

Regardless of the results, their achievement in reaching and competing at the Toyota National Skills Regional Finals is something our entire dealership is incredibly proud of.
