A trackside ticket to The Dubbo Gold Cup

There’s a particular kind of magic to a country race day.

The sound of horses thundering down the straight. Champagne glasses catching the afternoon light. Race-day fashion, familiar faces in the crowd and that unmistakable buzz as the field heads towards the gates.

For this year’s Dubbo Gold Cup, we wanted to capture all of it.

Our largest marquee to date was created exclusively for our Toyota In-Warranty Owners, bringing together beautiful food, local flavours, live entertainment and a little race-day glamour.

    A touch of country luxury

Lulu & Lottie Event Styling brought the vision to life with tan leather lounges, crisp white seating, natural timber, wicker furniture and greenery. Custom archways framed the space, while Adors Party Hire helped create the expansive marquee and outdoor areas overlooking the action.

    Then there was the bar.

Wrapped in gold and paired with long-stemmed champagne flutes, See Saw Prosecco and festoon lighting, it brought just the right touch of glamour

    Race-day dining, reimagined

A long lunch and a day at the races have always gone rather well together.

Soul Food Narromine put a modern spin on race-day dining with pumpkin, feta and basil arancini, pork belly bites, crispy miso and ginger fried chicken, Moroccan chicken skewers and Korean-style Bulgogi beef.

Outside, Trang Hue kept the dumplings, bao buns, spring rolls and rice paper rolls coming, while CIMKI delivered mini cob loaves, sweets and barista-made coffee.

It was made for grazing your way through the afternoon, glass in hand, conversation flowing and the track only metres away.

The best seat in the house

Between races, live music from Matt Boylan-Smith drifted through the marquee, while Glenn Munsie mixed racing insight with the kind of stories and banter that belong at a great day on the turf.

Over at Creative Capture’s 360-degree photo booth, race-day fashion had its own moment. Hats, heels, suits and plenty of personality made their way in front of the camera.

    The people make the day

For all the thought that went into the setting, menu and entertainment, the best part was something much simpler: the people we shared it with.

Gold Cup gives us the opportunity to step away from the dealership and spend time with our owners in a completely different setting. It’s our way of saying thank you while sharing one of the great days on Dubbo’s social calendar.
