There’s something about a Colour Run that brings out everyone’s competitive side. Or maybe it’s just the chance to throw handfuls of coloured powder at your workmates without getting in trouble.

Either way, when the Goin’ to Gil Festival Weekend rolled around, the Gilgandra Toyota team was all in.

We were proud to once again put our name behind the Gilgandra Toyota Colour Run, kicking off a big Saturday of festivities along Windmill Walk.

And when we say we got involved, we got involved.

The whole team joined the fun, and it didn’t take long before everyone was covered head to toe in clouds of pink, blue, yellow and green. There were plenty of laughs, some questionable running techniques and more than a few colourful ambushes along the way.

But that’s what weekends like Goin’ to Gil are all about.

It’s locals coming together, families getting out and about, businesses throwing their support behind the town and everyone having a bit of fun along the way. The wider weekend was packed with markets, the street parade, competitions, live entertainment, family activities and Under the Gums.

For Gilgandra Toyota, being part of it feels pretty natural. Supporting local clubs, organisations, events and opportunities for young people has long been part of our connection with the Gilgandra community.

We might still be finding coloured powder in a few unexpected places, but we’d happily do it all again.
